Community Action Programs are the changing force in their communities. And to receive all that Federal funding, you need to follow a set of standards that ensures funding sources you can serve the community while staying in compliance and being transparent. It takes a lot of work and coordination – and know how including a culture of collaboration, accountability, and collective problem solving. And we want to help you! Join us for this one-day, power-packed, overview to explore the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) standards. We will discuss how to use the framework to establish, measure, and communicate outcomes that matter to your community. Together we will review some of the regulations you need to know to stay in compliance through examples, stories, and best practices. Take back up-to-date and relevant information to implement immediately in your agency.

EARN CPE CREDITS: Wipfli LLP is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: NASBAregistry.org.

Earn up to 4 total CPE credits in accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. CPE credits are granted based on a 50-minute hour. Instructional delivery: Group, live.

 

CSBG Organizational Standards Boot Camp: Advanced Preparation: None; Level: Basic; Prerequisite: None; Field of Study: Specialized Knowledge and Applications.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Review the organization, applicability and implementation of the Uniform Guidance.

  1. Discuss the requirements for financial systems, regulations on program income, property and procurement, requirements for reporting and record retention.

  1. Explore the basics of allowable costs, direct and indirect costs, cost allocation in the new Uniform Guidance.
